About

Currently employed as a Visiting Professor of Film at one of the top film and media schools in Mumbai - SVKM's Usha Pravin Gandhi Gandhi College, University of Mumbai, for the BA program in Film, Television and New Media Production. I've taught courses in Film Appreciation, Fundamentals of Post-Production, Introduction to Film Direction, Advertising, as well as several 32-hour value-added programs in filmmaking (called The Script to Screen Workshop).

Curriculum

I've taught World Film History, Indian Film History, Film and Art Movements, Film Criticism, Philosophy of Cinema, Narrative Strategies, Basics of Visual Design and Film Grammar, Performance and Blocking, Cinematography and Staging, Editing Approaches, Film-Video Workflows, Pre-Production Planning, Set Protocols, Screenwriting, Music Compositon, Basics of Animation and Visual Effects, Animation Film History and more!

Kabeer Khurana is a Mumbai-based multiple award-winning filmmaker. It's been his constant endeavour to create conceptual and socially relevant cinema that reflects our times, yet pushing cinematic boundaries with technology and visual language. His films have received a Filmfare nomination as well as been screened in various festivals across the globe. His films have released on Amazon Prime US & UK and Disney+ Hotstar. He is also the founder of the Indie Film Circuit, a community of 3500+ independent filmmakers across India.
